At Advance: The Disability Consultants we recognise that your recruitment teams and the employee lifecycle process they oversee is the biggest area of risk in your organisation. However, at Advance: The Disability Consultants we believe that does not need to be the case. When organisations implement a Neuroinclusive employee lifecycle processes this benefits all employees regardless of whether they are Neurotypical or Neurodivergent and this ensures that organisations have access to a greater pool of talent and diversity as a consequence. At Advance: The Disability Consultants we help organisations ensure their recruitment processes are Neuroinclusive by supporting them in the following ways:

  • Support with a pre-interview pack which contains information such as maps, key landmarks, who to contact and what to expect from an interview in your organisation.

  • Delivery of a person-centred digital workplace passport for all Neurodivergent employees which focuses on strengths, weaknesses and what support they might need in the workplace.

  • Delivery and implementation of a reverse screening programme focusing on skills based hiring.

  • Delivery of a Neuroinclusive induction programme focused on what to expect from employment in your organisation for all new starters.

  • Working with existing Neurodivergent employees in your organisation to create a participatory model to the recruitment process, learning from them about what good Neuroinclusion should look like in your organisation.

  • Support and guidance to ensure that your working environments are Neuroinclusive, and setup to support Neurodivergent employees in your organisation. Focusing on areas such as designated quiet zones and sensory rooms.

It was a great pleasure working with Oliver Fenghour from Advance: The Disability Consultants. Shell employees were especially interested to hear Oliver’s personal story, his diagnosis and his experiences, specifically the common workplace challenges that people with autism face.  The session was just the start of our journey to support neurodiversity in the workplace and we look forward to working with Oliver in the future.
